Award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer Ben Powell, a native of the Mississippi Delta, has been compelled to view the world through a lens since he could hold a camera. A Rhode Island School of Design graduate, Powell made his directorial debut with BARGE, a documentary about America’s busiest waterway and its people, which premiered at SXSW in 2015 and won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Feature at both the Dallas International Film Festival and Indie Memphis.
